Quaint Nostalgia

I know i haven't been posting for a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG time. Hehe. Well, I was in Japan and all and Christmas WAS round the corner and AHEM, may I point out that there are NO taggers. Well anyway, I was pretty much bored out of my mind one day and I happened to be on the net surfing for articles relating to 'blogging and impact of internet on youths'. May I add that there were no articles WHATSOEVER relating even a teeny weeny bit to my search query. I hate internet homework. I mean, the internet is such a vast amount of information, even looking for a needle this HUGE haystack with X ray goggles(here refering to search engines) can't help. A fat lot of use that is.

BTW, I got my first Birkies. Ok, there're really called Papillio from Birkenstocks but they look so cute and small that I can't help but give them this name. I got lucky. Most adult size shoes don't come in my size, yet the kiddies shoes are too small. I had to get size 35, which is the smallest size they have for the adult Birkies. I hate buying shoes, because its so troublesome and most days I often end up finding nothing.

Japan was great, FYI. We didn't exactly go on a mad shopping spree there because no.1, the things there are so expensive, no.2, tours NEVER give you enough time for shopping, no.3, the shops close really early so even if we have time at night on our own we can't go shopping. but it was fun, enjoyable, hardly boring. Except the Atomic Bomb Museum, that was TERRIBLE, don't ask because I will not answer, I had my lunch before that and when I stepped in I actually felt nauseous. My first instinct was to get out, Get Out, GET OUT!!! I was left traumatised for half a day and I was looking on the floor all the time in there while others were peering at bombed remains of Nagasaki. I suddenly regretted taking History for Sec 3... Oh well... I can't say Nagasaki has much to offer in terms of shopping, but for all those interested in why the Americans wanted to bomb Nagasaki(it was all a CLOUD's fault. Yes, a CLOUD) and how the people suffered from radiation, then yes go ahead, enjoy your time there, and hopefully you won't end up like me.

I went to DisneySea as well. It was GREAT. I got to try almost all the rides, like maybe about 7-10? For one thing, it was a weekday, which means lesser people. Plus, DisneySea isn't as crowded as DisneyLand(which I already went to in the states 8 years ago) so the maximum time I waited for a ride was half an hour? That's pretty short! I waited like an hour for the Jurassic Park ride in Universal Studios(I heard they're building one in Sentosa, is that true?) which is this water roller coaster but somehow it wasn't as scary as one PARTICULAR ride I took in DisneySea. That PARTICULAR ride was called 'journey to the centre of the earth', the first part was really nice, full of gems and exotic flora and fauna and fungi. But then this giant lava monster appeard out of the darkness and I actually SCREAMED when I saw it, like screamed for REAL. Then we were suddenly blown back into the darkness and we SWOOPED all over the place(it was going really fast) then we started DROPPING, yes, I kid you not, DROPPING, like a downhill roller coaster. I had my eyes closed then, but I opened them when the drop stopped. HUGE MISTAKE. As soon as I opened them, I found out were at the top of some artificial volcano spewing smoke and ashes and we lurched down and all I saw was this black hole below me(I was in the front seat, worst luck) showing a drop that would last for all eternity. It was a long drop, REALLY long, even worse than the Jurassic Park, and it was really unexpected too. I remember too, when I sat in the Indiana Jones ride in USA 8 years ago, I was nearly thrown out of my seat, yet I was LOCKING BOTH ARMS UNDER THE HANDLE and HANGING ON FOR DEAR LIFE. Now, its no biggie. It wasn't as scary as I remembered, funny how things change huh?
